<p>Call for marshals &#8211; On 10th October, AAC will host the ever-popular OUTsurance Gun Run 21km, 10km and 5km fun run. <p>Comrades Marathon 2011: Entries for the event opened today and close on 30th November 2010; places are limited to 18 000 and NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN IN 2011. <p>SATURDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER:</p>
<p>Riebeek Kasteel 21km &#038; 10km: Hosted by Swartland Athletic Club; 21km &#038; 10km starting at 07h30 from the Church Hall, Piet Retief Street, Riebeek Kasteel. Entries will be taken on the day from 06h00. For further details, contact Hennie Vlok on 0825736915.</p>
<p>Camps Bay (outside Vida):  For those not heading out to do a race this weekend, then there&#8217;s the usual 7am start in Camps Bay outside Vida.</p>
<p>SUNDAY 5th SEPTEMBER:</p>
<p>SATORI CAMEL RUN 10 Miler: Satori Athletic Club in Noordhoek present the Camel Run 10-miler Classic starting at 07h30 from the Noordhoek Sports Fields off Chapman&#8217;s Peak Drive. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A PRE-ENTRY RACE ONLY and there will be no entries taken on the day. Entries have already closed as the limit has been reached and NO SUBSTITITIONS will be allowed. All runners who have entered, please be reminded to collect your race number from your chosen Sportsmans Warehouse outlet; on Thursday 2nd (between 15h00 and 18h00) and Saturday 4th (between 10h00 and 12h00) from Sportsmans Warehouse in Tokai or on Saturday 4th (between 10h00 and 12h00) from Sportsman Warehouse in Canal Walk.</p>

Guest speaker Braam Malherbe, SA extreme athlete and author of &#8220;The Great Run&#8221; who averaged a full marathon a day for 98 days along the Great Wall of China over some of the world&#8217;s harshest terrain.  The evening includes brand stands and reps offering new insights into running technology, lucky draw prizes, cholesterol and glucose testing, biokineticist, physiotherapist and podiatrist consultations. <p>The Kogelberg Challenge will take place in Pringle Bay on the 11th September.  Hangklip Athletic Club will host a staggered event consisting of three races; 21km starting at 7h30, a 10km at 10h30 and a 5km fun run at 12h00. For the fit and intrepid, run all three! <p>Cape Town Marathon:  The Cape Town Marathon will wind its way through the streets of the Mother City again this spring.  The race, which is organised by Western Province Athletics, in partnership with the City of Cape Town, takes place on Sunday 26 September.  The marathon, with its fast and flat course, is appealing to both elite athletes in search of quick times and beginners who want to complete their first marathon.  Starting at the same time as the marathon is a 10km race, which follows the last part of the marathon route.  Just over an hour later, there is a 4,2km mini-marathon for junior athletes, which also takes place on the last part of the marathon route. You can walk or run the 5km or there&#8217;s a 10km walk/run and a 21km half marathon if you&#8217;re looking for more of a challenge.
