Dear AAC members
Firstly well done to all the Peninsula runners – there were some great times and it was awesome to see all the new faces (and the old ones
) at the gazebo. It was very festive and if the wind hadn’t been so strong, I think we all would have stuck around a bit more. Thanks to Andrew Smit for getting it all there.
We’ve had an amazing response to the social on Thursday.close to 70 members will be coming along to hear what Dr Ross has to say. We’ll be serving pasta and salad and, yes, there’s a veggie option as well! Look forward to seeing you all there. It starts at 6pm and Ross will start speaking from 6:30pm onwards, so we can all stuff our faces beforehand. I will also be at the club doing memberships and vest sales from 4 to 6pm but please try come before 6 coz I also want to enjoy the social.
Just a reminder that our Lighthouse 10km takes place next Wednesday 2 March and many of you have volunteered to help with various things. Gregg will be sending out an email later today about that. The Lighthouse 10km Helpers’ Run will take place next Thursday 3 March. Meet at the Lighthouse to start running promptly at 6:15pm. If you want to still run from the club at 6, you can and meet the group at the lighthouse. Chris Readman will take the official times.
Don’t forget the Gino’s Night Race tomorrow out at Maties’ Coetzenburg Athletics Stadium. Registration starts at 4pm and the race starts at 6:30pm. There’s a 10km and a 5km. Call Mohamed Ally or Christie Davids on 021-808 4689 for more information.
